Two weeks prior to the burial, O'Day dug a twelve foot long by six foot deep hole with a shovel.
On August 26th thirty works of art dating from 1979-1988 were lowered into a six foot wide by twelve foot long by six foot deep hole. Invited guests were requested to dress in black. The procession was led by O'Day, while the accordion player, Ben Whitmore and three attendants Gordon Wilson, Conrad Schwable and Rob Kroese followed.
A twenty year installation, the work was dug up in 2008. See "Exhume" for details.
